Heritage on a Plate
J Wong’s Thai & Chinese Bistro opened in 2009 in Salt Lake City, born from the Wong family’s love for food. With a Thai mother and Chinese father, the four brothers—Jason, Josh, Jordan, and Jesse—blended their heritage into a menu featuring authentic Thai flavors and classic Chinese dishes. Every recipe reflects family traditions, travel experiences, and a desire to bring Salt Lake City a unique, flavorful dining experience.
A Space That Tells a Story
Located in the historic Patrick Dry Goods building, J Wong’s interior blends Thai and Chinese design with a modern twist. Imported paintings, decorations, and subtle Asian touches create a cozy, authentic atmosphere. Every detail—from the colors to the furnishings—was chosen to complement the kitchen’s quality, giving diners a relaxed, immersive experience as if stepping into a modernized Thai or Chinese nook.
Flavors That Unite
Balancing Thai and Chinese cuisine isn’t easy, but the Wongs curated a menu to please every palate. Fresh herbs, high-quality ingredients, and in-house sauces make every dish exceptional, from Bangkok street-style noodles to classic Chinese dumplings. Each menu section offers variety, bold flavors, and authenticity, ensuring Salt Lake City experiences the best of both worlds with every bite.
